C’est en 1999 qu’il découvre véritablement la musique. Il débute avec le style hip-hop jusqu’en 2003 avant d’être influencé par le style de l’artiste guadeloupéen Admiral T en 2004. Singleton opte et chante le Ragga Dancehall.
Riche de trois (3) albums (GnakryDancehall 2011, Le Travail Paie 2015, L’enfant des bas quartiers 2019), il prépare un quatrième. La sortie de cet album est prévue pour l’an 2022. Le chanteur nous a confié que son équipe travaille activement afin que cette date soit respectée. Au-delà de la musique, le chanteur guinéen évolue dans le domaine agricole.
Singleton c’est aussi l’entrepreneuriat, expliquez-nous l’histoire qui vous lie à l’agriculture ?
Avec l’agriculture c’est une très très grande histoire d’amour et de passion. Vous savez, la musique de chez nous ne paye pas assez. J’ai donc décidé avec mon équipe d’intégrer l’entrepreneuriat avec pour ambition l’exploitation de la terre donc la pratique de l’agriculture.
Singleton a une vision large. Il veut pratiquer l’agriculture diversifiée et durable afin de contribuer au développement du pays en luttant contre la faim et en employant les jeunes de Guinée.
Revenons à la musique, le 4ème album nous garde quoi comme surprise Singleton, des featurings sont en vue?
De grosses collaborations nationales et internationales sont en vue et l’album sera un album 100% dancehall pour la petite précision.
